When you listen, this is what a lot of people are saying now: "There is so much AI noise, I don't even know where to start".

I agree.

It seems like everyone's talking about AI. Gurus online are teaching AI. Teens in their mom's basement are telling you which AI tools are best.

People are promising the world and showing you all of these insane workflows.

But at the same time, if you're like most people, you're going about your work, using AI here and there, and you're not feeling the big impact everyone is talking about.

I often have friends or clients sending me videos they found online about some new tool or workflow, and they ask me: "Is this true? Can you do this?"

And the thing is, half the time I watch one, I can already tell it's massively exaggerated, or just not possible at all.

That's the trap.

If you only ever react to whatever comes out, without trying any of it yourself, you don't know what's real and what not.

Well the problem is that you're not in the arena enough. If you only listen to people talk, you can't form your own opinion.

Instead, when you're in the trenches you start to understand what's possible and what not.

But ok, I know what you're going to say, you don't have the time to try out every new tool.

And it's fair enough. Even for me, doing this more or less for a living, it's hard to keep up.

But if I had to compress it down to the few things you should actually do yourself, building your own AI OS is at the top of the list.

Because that's the foundation. Once it's set up, you're integrating AI into your workflows without even thinking about it.

You start looking for new tools and hooking them up yourself, because now you can feel the productivity boost they give you.

It's the lowest lift, highest impact move.
